Zovo PTO Accrual Calculator
PTO accrual calculator: balance, dated ledger, year-end projection and team balances.
Zovo PTO Accrual Calculator answers "how much PTO do I have" from your accrual policy. Enter how time off is earned (per hour worked, per pay period, or a yearly amount that is front-loaded or accrued evenly), your hire date and pay schedule, any tenure tiers, max balance, carryover limit and waiting period, and the days you took. It builds a dated ledger per pay period with accrued, used, capped and forfeited hours, gives the balance on any date, projects the balance to year-end and shows how many hours you must use before the reset. HR teams can run a whole team from a CSV.
What it does
- Accrual per hour worked (e.g. 1 hour per 30), per pay period (weekly, biweekly, semimonthly, monthly) or per year, front-loaded or accrued evenly
- Tenure tiers such as 10 days in years 0-2 and 15 days from year 3
- Max balance cap, annual accrual cap, carryover limit with a reset date or hire anniversary, and waiting periods
- Time taken as dates, hours or ranges; future dates count as planned time off
- Balance as of any date, year-end projection, hours at risk before the reset and upcoming accruals
- Team mode: one balance per employee from a list or CSV/Excel file
- PDF ledger, Excel workbook and CSV

- Accruals post on pay dates; the first partial pay period is prorated by calendar days
- Does not connect to payroll or HR systems and does not keep ledgers: generated files are deleted after 1 hour
- Up to 10 years per ledger and 500 employees per team run
